Grants for Community Organisations.

There are three different grant schemes whereby local groups and organisations can apply for funding. I have set out details below. Each scheme has more details available by following the link. Application forms are also available to download.

Members Community Chest

I am now welcoming applications from all types of organisations and groups.

Total amount available £10,000.

I do, however, insist that the application comes from an organisation or a group with a current bank account.

I do not accept applications from individuals (for example for personal sponsorship) or from party political groups.
I will consider applications from religious groups, but the application must show that the project will bring wider community benefit.

The Small Community Capital Projects Grants

Makes grants up to a maximum of £20,000 per project. You should not regard the maximum grant as a target figure. In practice, most allocations from the Fund will be for smaller amounts.

The KCC Local Schemes Grant is for support to revenue or minor capital projects.

Example of Capital costs in general terms, any expenditure which leads to the acquisition of a fixed asset (land, buildings, plant, machinery, vehicles etc.) or increases the life or market value of a fixed asset can constitute expenditure for capital purposes.

Example of Revenue costs, all other expenditure, normally considered to be day to day running costs of a business/organisation is revenue expenditure.
